Treatment4Dentist is one of the specific programs associated with Solutions4Recovery, a network of interventional, residential treatment, rehabilitation programs. The drive to build a treatment program specifically for dentists arose from a number of factors:
-Dentists are medically knowledgeable. As medical professionals, dentists have an above average awareness of the issues surrounding addiction, chemical interactions within the brain, and pharmacology. Their education during treatment should take these factors into account.
-Dentists are providers as well as clients. The training dentists receive in their own treatment goes on to benefit them in their practice. They need to able to use what they learn to recognize and treat addiction among their patients.
-Dentists in recovery have an extraordinarily high rate of success. Our treatment program for dentists aims to maintain and improve on this rate of success by capitalizing on the specific factors such as career motivation and the pleasures of working with patients.
-Dentists often have outside requirements for compliance. These requirements can range from peer monitoring to self-reporting; careers can families can hinge on successful compliance and completion. We put specific emphasis on helping our clients meet these requirements.
The goal of our treatment program is the restoration of peace, harmony, and serenity in the lives and careers of our clients. We believe these goals can be best met through long-term sobriety and abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Our drug and alcohol treatment program involves group therapy, 1-on-1 counseling, education, and family workshops. Clients learn about relapse prevention, triggers, and support networks. A significant part of the program also involves preparing our clients for their lives post-treatment without substances.
Because of the standard high recovery rate, we do comfortably discharge a significant number of clients without formal aftercare. This route allows a faster route to repair of damage done to lives, families, and practices. So that can better support themselves after treatment, we introduce clients during treatment to such support networks as the GDA Recovery Network for dentists and other advocacy and monitoring programs.
